Puppies shouldn't play BNB, and if they do, they can get used to the taste of boot now and then :) One of our server rules is "no complaining". I've had to do a few /kick and /mute to some people. Getting angry when you die in bnb is just a waste of brain cells.

I try to get large farms going asap. You can counter slow growth with larger farms. The first one is "plant it all" then I'll try to start sorting it out as I get seeds. Some plants are much better than others. Berries are good for juice and pies. Potatoes for flour, hearty stew, baked...

Make sure your bed is protected in a small building. Keep a chest full of flint hatchets next to the bed. Be pre-pared to do the "naked berzerker hatchet dance" a few times to kill them if they find you.

Some of the BoP items always seem to sneak through Hunger Overhaul. Persimmons being the one I'm glad to see gone.

You can take wheat and turn it into seeds. Finding a village generally gives you a ton. Go to the launcher, the mods are generally in the description.

Play it how you like, no problems with what anyone does in their own game. But I'll argue your logic. Losing tools is part of the game. Playing bnb in magnet mode seems to defeat part of the game. If there's a penalty for magnet mode, then that's karma :)

Doubtful. We haven't heard from either Jon or Cyanide in weeks. Jon logged into the server Aug 26th, cyanide a month before that. Maybe they lurk incognito to read posts, but they haven't posted on the server or here. Life got busy for them probably, it happens.

Eyamaz should put Enviormine back in, at least for the Physics effects :) Skybases fall down, go boom :) Or be properly engineered :) I do like the other enviormine effects though. Overheating, Hypothermia, insanity, thirst? All fun.
