I've not had a chance to look at Sprout yet, but a couple of "Let's Plays" I've seen indicate that there's a book you get from an NPC in a building that looks a bit like a church near spawn. Unless this has been changed, that is :)

Also, you may have to make some things in the full sized oven, similar to the way that some "quest mode" packs do not recognize items crafted for a quest reward until you pick them up from a Vanilla style crafting table.

Not to mention easily improving the output efficiency by raising the tier(s) of oil used.

They're using "Unstable" to evaluate Mods right now, since 1.12 has only been out a short while. I would think they'd create a "Beyond" look-alike first then use that as a basis for the separate "Expert" pack.

The only 1.12 packs I've seen so far are the FtB "Unstable" and the "All the Mods 3(cubed)" packs. If Buildcraft is usable it'll probably be in one or both of those. 1.12 looks like it'll be the next 1.7, as 1.13 will break things from what the Forge guys and Mojang are tweeting out.

If you are using 1.10.2 packs, as your mention of DW20 implies, the minimum ram allocation suggestion has changed from about 4GB to about 6GB, not counting textures and resource packs. Also keep in mind that you cannot compare Desktop (assuming that your system is one) and Laptop performance...

The system I mentioned above was announced at Minecon either last year or the year before. Currently it is only partially implemented and only on all the Minecraft except the Java version, but the videos indicated that this is the direction Mojang is working towards. [Edit]

I've not tried this so my thought is just a conjecture, but have you looked to see if any files are in your '\\users\(user directory)\appdata directory? I think Minecraft puts some things there.

If you are referring to FtB style packs then no. All other versions of Minecraft... All Consoles, Tablet and phone versions are written in C++, as is the Windows10 version. Modpacks such as those managed by FtB are all written in Java. Having said that, I know that Mojang appears to be...

My own curiosity... Was Mindcrack even hosted by FtB for that version? I thought the Mindcrack guys had their own hosting at that time but I may be wrong as I was new to the scene then.
