Doubt you could find a decent laptop for 2-300 clams. Hell, mine's middling at best and it ran me around $500.

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

Most people never think to, and those that do are leery of it because there's always the chance that you update Forge and everything just up and breaks. I've had it happen to me more than once; upgrade Forge for a new version of, let's say Forestry and, suddenly, every other mod in my folder...

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

That does seem like a rather glaring omission, either in their mod metadata or the client's instance tracking.

It should be, aye. If memory serves, its tied to your player data, so just make sure you get all that copied over, and you should be fine.

*hiss* I am not fond of them. I find CLIs to be incredibly inefficient and borderline useless for any serious applications. This ain't the 90s, there's plenty of resources to go around and there's tonnes of incredibly well-made GUI libraries.

Aah, DOS. I...don't really miss it. My CS 225 class is basically an intro course into Linux command-line crap, and I'm now remembering exactly why I detest command-line interfaces. And regexes.

Crystal repeaters, be they regular, multi-aura, beacons, or their turbo-charged flavours, should treat lumen trees as a source of power much like a pylon. I don't know if any preference is given to one or the other in the network, but it might not be a terrible idea to build your tree somewhere...

    [ReactorCraft] ReC Mechanics Thread

Aah. I wouldn't really know, I'm extremely anal about building in a creative test world, first.

How's about FTB Unlimited? Kinda keeps with the overall theme.

    [ReactorCraft] ReC Mechanics Thread

If you have CoFH stuff installed (TE, MFR, etc), you can use the /cofh killall command and supply it with the name of radiation entities to nix em all. If that's too cheaty, you could add a recipe for the radiation goggles, make/fill a cleanup tool, and do it manually. Not sure if it was...

Also remember that you can transmit relay power without a line of sight...need something special to manage it, but I'll leave that to your imagination.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Persona 4 the Animation. Watching early bits on YouTube since I'm almost done with the game and good god, I've never seen something so hilarious in my life.

Perhaps, but I'm the kind of guy that when aesthetics and practicality collide, I choose practicality every time. So, do take anything I say with regard to aesthetics with a grain of salt.

As for the enrichment vine stacking, couldn't you just place the bulk of them underground like folks used to do with old Xychorium soil?

Also note that the RoC grinder can give you a dozen shards to the crystal, if you silk em up.

If you want, you could build an opaque shield around the battery block and let everything recharge. The lumen tree does kinda eat lotsa power before you get around to making and using power crystals.

Only certain things use the storage crystals, like the mineral extractor.

Nope, some of them do spread. To give you an example, the nature vines can spread along pretty much any vertical surface. Also, a little clue: there's ways to make them spread faster, if you catch my drift.
