If memory serves, you need mana to make anything other than dayblooms, night...thingies, and the purification flower.

For the slurry production, you need (I think) HCl. You can get hydrogen easily from an electrolytic separator, chlorine can come brine, methinks. Cleaning it just requires water. After that, I think you need oxygen, which you'll be getting as you make hydrogen, and the rest is just power.
