For the record, you *can* go into the configs, and temporarily enable creation of twilight portals. Which I am about to do, since I left the forest and spawned back into a blood moon/creeper rave ambush. -_-

Aaah, I guess that'd explain it! I'll try being patient. T_T

Looks like 1.4.1 hit the launcher, but something is wrong -- trying to download it gives a "Error while downloading modpack" message.

I don't necessarily do agricraft for the food, that's just a nice side benefit. I try to rush Soybeans, because I can use that in most recipes to substitute for milk or meat, and meaty food is much more saturating than vegetarian dishes. If I'm feeling silly, I might also max out wheat, peanut...

Yeah, lightning has some really, really major downsides; touching liquids drains your mana completely, eventually ALSO takes 20% of your health, triggers TNT, *AND* supercharges creepers. Too bad it's a really useful, partially armor-piercing damage type that works really well on the first...

Yup, what NoElement said -- Light As A Feather means you're at the mercy of the wind. It could be worse, though -- you could do like I did initially and get pumped up on both Ice and Earth elements... Ice makes you slow, Earth makes you sink faster in water and take fall damage from shorter...

Yep, that is likely the problem. It takes half a pool of mana to make each bar of terrasteel, and the regular mana spreaders take *forever* to move that much mana. It might be possible to do it using 8 or 10 pools all focused on the same Agglomerator Plate, but it's a loooot simpler to just...

Two suggestions for you, Drastic: 1) I'm not sure how hard it is to add recipes for Botania's Runic Altar, but I was thinking it could be useful for making dryad spawn eggs. A possible recipe: an Ent twig (ties the dryad to her tree), a bucket of blood (for human-like life), a witchwood...

I have had crashes with the rats as well, but it seems to be triggered by fighting them with the Arthana. I can kill them easily and without crashing, by using my trusty AM lightning projectile or vanilla weapons. I suspect that the crash is triggered by the arthana's innate "better loot"...

I've scrolled back quite a ways and am not finding an answer -- I'm trying to find an End portal, and have a nice stack of ender eyes. I am currently at 624 -1246, and my base is at 7652, -8254... The eyes just keep flying away to the SW.. I know there was a prior issue with Eyes of Ender not...

I am really really beginning to hate Adventurer's Backpacks. I've had it happen multiple times where I'm killed and the backpack doesn't properly drop. It doesn't go on the ground like it's supposed to, it doesn't end up in my gravestone, and even cheating a soulbound enchantment onto it...

Same here, no variant of creeper seems to advance the Fury kill counter. On a mostly unrelated note, Fling-a-Ding is AWESOME. I just went and used it on the Naga, and he got absolutely Tyrannosaurus Rekt. I took almost zero damage as well, because he'd charge me, then get hurled up over me...

Ah, that explains it. I've never had the mage robes break because if I start getting smacked around, I run away crying. ;) Knockback (green skill in Offense) helps keep enemies off you so you can keep peppering them with spells. Slow (blue skill in Defense) can also keep enemies away while...

I was also flailing around trying to break the node, so it's possible that I was hitting the dog as we both orbited the node. There was a lot of panic and screaming. As for the armor, maybe I just got dog-smacked enough that it *broke* -- but I was wearing mage robes, which I didn't think...

The thing was, I didn't actually die. The sticky wolf kept getting slammed into me by the node, and every time he hit me, he stole whatever I had equipped/in my hands, dropped it... and the node then sucked it up and ate it. Took my sword, I grabbed my backpack to get another weapon, he took...

If I recall correctly, Unbreaking and Repair are mutually exclusive enchantments... like Smite/Sharpness, you can only have one or the other. Completely unrelated story: Wandering the Twilight Forest, carelessly got sucked into a Hungry node. Trying to smack it to death as I'm flung about...

So... a creeper just blew up and vaporized my Twilight Portal, which I now can't fix. Which makes me the saddest Wookiee, because my entire witchery area was built around the other side of that portal. Even worse, I can't even cheat in the actual portal blocks to cheat the pool, because if any...

You can hit a basic carpenter block with a carpenter hammer, to turn it into a half-block. As long as the 'empty' half is facing the tainted area, it should prevent fiber growth. Leaving the block as a basic, ugly carpenter block should prevent fiber on the block itself, since it is a "clear"...

Fibrous taint can't spread along surfaces with halfblocks/partial blocks on them. You can use ladders, torches, carpenter's slopes, and fences to prevent fibrous taint from spreading back into a cleared area. I haven't tried it yet, but this should also work with carpenter's blocks, trapdoors...

Not entirely certain, but it seems like the zombie dogs ignore light levels to determine whether they can spawn. If that's the case, then sadly there isn't a lot you can do to avoid them, short of carpeting the planet.
