I am trying to make a server to play Tech World 2 with my friends, but I can't get it to work correctly. When I run the "FTBServer-1.6.4-965" executable jar file, "ForgeModLoader-server-0.log.lck" and "ForgeModLoader-server-0" are made, but the server window does not show up. Also, when I run "ServerStart" the message "

Okay. I
Uninstall java 8 and install java 7.
But now the server launcher starts up, starts to generate the world, says something, and shuts down before I can read it. There are no crash reports. The memory measure on the left fluctuates from 20-30% free at the beginning and then jumps to around 80-90% free shortly before crashing. I get the default RAM input at 2GB. Any other ideas?

Post the Forge modloader server log, it should say what went wrong.

Here is the log. I had to split it up into 4 text documents because my browser crashes when I try to paste the whole thing in, and the website will not let me upload all of it in one document.

Add this to your launch file -XX:MaxPermSize=128m or change the 128 to 256 if that line already is there.

I am assuming you are talking about the "ServerStart.bat." It contains:

java -Xms2048m -Xmx2048m -XX:permSize=128m -jar FTBServer-1.6.4-965.jar nogui
pause

Do I add "-XX:MaxPermSize=128m" or do I change "-XX:permSize= 128m" to what mc.crab said?

I changed "-XX:permSize=128m -" to "-XX:permSize=256m -". It still did not work. I changed it to "-XX:permSize=512m -" and it still no luck. Do I keep increasing it by 128 until it works?

You changed the existing notation of PerSize, you didn't just add a second one? if you set it to 25m+ and it still fails to start there may be another error, post your server.log after this happens.
