Thaumcraft 4 woes

Ok guys maybe you can help me out we recently started a server running monster and we started with 1.0.5 then updated to 1.0.7 and now 1.0.9

Everything seems good but I am running into some issues with Thaumcraft. I have research that un obtainable. I have all of the aspects needed and there is just no way to connect all the nodes. Is this a bug or a mechanic of it?

The layout of each research note is randomized and some layouts can't be completed.

Personally, I do my research by fishing with the aspects I have 50+ points of. Ill make about 4 or 5 research notes and then solve the easiest one. I rarely have to use more than 2 - sometimes 1 - out of the 3 or so aspects available, which helps conserve my rare aspects.

Ok so it is a machanic of the mod. Not sure I am a fan of that one its pretty lame. Also is what does the little sparkle on some aspects mean I am guessing bonus but not sure how you get the bonuses and what they do anyone have insight on that?

The sparkle is the bonus point.

You can only use the bonus point once all of your personal points are used up (represented, of course, by the number).

The research table will scan items nearby and get bonus points related to the aspects those items have. Crystals are thus popular. However bookcases are a special case as they represent knowledge and can generate ALL aspects as bonus points. Building a few research tables near your enchanting library will generate sparkles on all aspects given enough time.

I say "a few" as the bonus points are per table, not stored on your character. So, on a server for example, anyone can use the bonus point on any particular table and it will be gone (until it regenerates) for all players. Building more than one table therefore, also, means that the bonus point pool from each table can be utilized which allows you to research aspects you have none of - without wasting your other aspects research points on combinations.

A good rule of thumb for researches seems to be that when there are two nodes about the same distance from your starting point in different directions, the research will likely be impossible.

I am sorry if it has already been addressed I did not know also a cheat sheet may not really be the best place to put that message as I am trying to avoid those as much as possible and would not have thought to check them for this info.
