I'm on my brother's computer trying to get the FTB launcher to work for him, but to no avail. Everyone else in my family who plays Minecraft uses a Windows 7 computer that is 64-bit (I think), but my brother is on a slightly older computer using Windows XP, 32-bit. I've tried everything I can possibly think of to get this to work with FTB, including...
I'm not sure what to do anymore and I know FTB keeps error logs, but I'm not sure where. So if anyone has any idea what to do next, I'm all ears.
Thanks.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest versions of Java and the JDK
- Uninstalling Java 7 and installing Java 6
- Deleting the ftblauncher folder from the appdata directory (the same place where .minecraft is kept)
- Deleting all traces of Minecraft from the computer and putting it back on
- Deleting all traces of FTB and putting it back on
- Putting the FTB stuff in a root folder (C:\FTB) and launching from there
- Restarting the computer
- Deleting any unnecessary environment variables
- Using the .jar launcher instead of the .exe
