How Many Players Can I Host?

Hoping for some insight from the community here.

I've just started adding people to my whitelist and advertising my server but want to know where to stop on players. I'm hosting FTB Infinity Evolved.

My Server Specs (American KS-3 from Kimsufi)

Processor- Core i3-2130 clocked at 3.4 ghz (2c/2t)
RAM - 6GB allocated to Minecraft (2 for overhead/webserver running nginx)
1TB Drive (not an SSD)

Any recommendations for where I should stop on the whitelist?

Be nice to the people playing on your server and change to SSD... backup takes minutes on an SSD
