Windows .exe FTB Downloading Incorrect Minecraft.jar

Trying to update from Mindcrack v7 to Mindcrack v8 and I keep getting this issue:

The update was available in the launcher, so I figured it was safe to try. Didn't know that it wasn't really for public release yet.

i whould think myself that internal testing equals not in the launcher, imo there is nothing you did wrong

You have no idea...tickets, tickets everywhere!
Also, the NEI issue is adding to the storm.

I don't know what's stored in this folder, but I'm guessing it's caching some old version files that FML is incorrectly reading.

Yes, but this was a temporary issue with one round of updates and no longer applies.
