Unable to download modpacks

I am unable to download modpacks on the curse launcher. I am given an error "Fail to get mod loader from manifest!" No clue on how to fix this and I am using a part of my wifi that is on the other side of my firewall so it has zero restrictions. I am on a 2015 13" Macbook Pro 10.11.4 Another problem I am having is that I am unable to creak a modpack. It only allows me to name it but does not give me a version or forge to use.

I suggest contacting curse through thear supprt channels. Not sure if they monitor this area. See options behind (?) button in Curse (app).
