When I borwse the forum in the morning I'll see spam threads and I report them, I haven't seen more than one.
Anyway to make them less common for a while make it so that a thread can't have in it's name "http://" and "https://".

Compared to the moderation queue the amount of spam that does get through is miniscule and usually very quickly picked up and dealt with.

I've always reported as soon as I've seen one. The only thing is that I have to click on the thread to report the post, which means it gets at least one view! I know that's possibly a necessary evil, but its annoying to give even one iota of attention to that sort of spam! :D

You can also instead just report the user and say its a spam bot. Though I am not sure what moderators prefer
